Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino

Aruba Hotels & Resorts

Resist the urge to alight upon the counter of the concierge and declare this hotel conquered in the name of Spain. It already has been.

At least, that's what one might suppose from the massive iron-wrought chandelier fixtures of the expansive atrium like foyer. As an official part of the Netherlands commonwealth, Aruba is teeming with Dutch, Spanish and European influences in its sophisticated party atmosphere as well as the architecture of exquisite hotels like the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino. Indeed, it's very likely this colonial feel that has made Hyatt such a regal destination for tourists from both Europe and North America, and the interesting thing is that the club is not even two decades old.

This modernity is accentuated by the would-be-gaudy-if-it-weren't-so-darned-well-done swimming pool palm tree room adjacent to the lobby. Full of tropical birds and thick leaved palm trees languishing from their roots in the tiered levels that cascade into the oversized pool. It's almost gaudy, but the sense of decadence actually quite thrilling. And don't worry about any tackiness; here at the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino they do everything with class.

So take part in the magic of the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino when you come to the beautiful Caribbean island of Aruba. Located in the exclusive Palm Beach Noord area of this fantastically arid desert island also full of soothing white sandy beaches as well as rugged coastline and enormous cactuses, the Hyatt is one of a kind. Indeed, it rounds off a perfect destination for eager Caribbean vacationers like you. Palm Beach itself is one of the more up scale places to hang on this island, so enjoy the class while it still lasts.

The one less-than-attractive aspect of this hotel is the room size. Essentially, if you like it cozy, then you're in luck. Don't expect a balcony in the habitations right above the pool, and only balconies fit for a standing smoker jut out from the other rooms. The suites (there are 18 of them) are much more generous with the space. That said, the guest rooms at the Hyatt do rank high on my personal list of best rooms for decorative comfort. Also, you may be happily surprised to find out that the bathrooms are quite spacious, and come decked out in the full glitz of recent renovation.

The hotel resort complex also features a wide range of in-house activities such a tennis courts that light up at night and four different deluxe restaurants featuring international cuisine and the much-sought-after Spanish tapas specialty as well as exquisite seafood platters. Other attractions include close proximity to a full golf course of 18 holes, spa and fitness center, salon, arcade for shopping and even babysitting for those who brought the whole happy family along on the vacation.

Find the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino at J. E. Irausquin Blvd. 85.
